BEYER'S COTTAGE 1860's:
Another authentic miners cottage, owned by Louis Beyer, who was one of the owners of the Star of
Hope Mine. The mine which produced the famous Holtermann Specimen. The house is left unrestored,
to show the original 'wattle and daub' building methods. Beyer's Cottage is rarely open to the
public, thus making it an important Open Day feature.
